On Day 2 we woke to overcast skies, temps near 70 and the occasional sprinkles. We drove up to the Harbour and saw the big boats in the marina, checked out the park with the big tree house and ducked into some shops and off to lunch while it was drizzling. Then back to the villa for a nap - even Mommy napped which is rare!

We ended day 2 with dinner out at a fantastic Italian restaurant and a DVD at the villa.
Day 3 looked more promising, though not quite beach worthy so we rented bikes and planned to ride around a bit. A bit turned into a long windy three hour tour of the South end of the island and a stop for lunch at Salty Dog Cafe in the Harbour. Yum. We even spotted some alligators on our ride.
Day 4 was the warmest and the wettest. So, no beach and like most families on the island we were searching for indoor activities that burned energy. Like most families we ended up at the Sandbox Interactive museum. After waiting to get in, AJ was ready to jump right in playing trains, climbing the rock wall, pretending to be a pirate on the pirate ship, flying a plane and building a house. We had to drag him out when it was time for lunch.

glad you all found so much to do without being able to spend time on the beach during your beach vacation! Looks and sounds like everyone had a lot of fun. We knew AJ would appreciate a good Johnny Depp movie when the time came! Argh!!!
Aunta Megs and Gramma
So I'm guessing there were no dolphin sightings, lol?!?
PS- AJ has the cutest shoes! Who got him those?!?
No Sydney, no dolphins :-) I was surprised to see that there are dolphin watching cruises that leave from HHI. Maybe next time.
THe shoes are darling aren't they? AJ's fashionista Auntie in NYC sent them - isn't she the best?
